If I send you the email addresses of spammers, can you block them?

We are afraid that with the following facts about spam, blocking spam based on email address is at best an exercise in futility!

1. Spammers almost always forge their email addresses.
2. Spammers mutate their addresses very often.
3. Spammers often hijack other people's computers to send out their spam.

Now you can see with 1. and 2. above, how fruitless it is to "block" spam based on email addresses. With 3. you may even block innocent parties, causing the so called "innocent kills" problem.

AZC is doing its best to block "obvious" spam sources on its mail servers, and we strongly urge everyone to install and learn to effectively use a good spam filtering program on your own computer.
