I cannot FTP to my own server, even though I can FTP to all the public FTP servers on the Internet.Have you set your FTP destination in your FTP software to ftp.yourdomain? For instance, if your domain name is example.com, you must point your FTP software to ftp.example.com. Attempting to point your FTP software to www.yourdomain will result in a refused connection. This convention has been employed by AZC since its inception in 1995. Please follow our published "official" instructions. Please also see the What is a virtual host online AZC FAQ. You also need to configure your FTP software so that it uses the so called "Passive Mode" for file transfer. Most modern FTP desktop software have this setting by default. If you encounter problems transferring files, it's a good idea to double check this setting. You may also wish to consult the Technical Support of your FTP software's vendor to make sure the setting is indeed in place.
