What is data transfer and how much will I need?

Each time someone accesses your web page, the server transmits text, graphics, audio, or any other multimedia file that is linked to that particular page. All those files have their own size: text files tend to be small, graphics larger, and audio and video files tend be quite large. When sending those files to the visitor, the server actually sends data to the user's web browser.

The site traffic is the amount of data transmitted from your web site. Most smaller sites with few visitors rarely use more than 1000MB/month. Our experience has shown that 1000MB/month will be more than enough for most users, unless your pages are multimedia intensive and generating tens of thousands of hits a month. Our plans are designed such that in most cases we give you more than you need for your chosen plan.
