I have trouble deleting some messages from a POP account of mine, what can I do?

This usually happens when your email client is not set to delete your emails from the server once they have been downloaded. You will want to make sure the box for "delete downloaded messages from the server" is checked and then click send/receive.

In addition you will want to convert any "default" re-direct account (if existing) to an email shredder to reduce the amount of junk received. You can do this through your redirect email setup under your Account Manager Toolkit.

You will also want to check out mail2web.com. You can use this utility to access your POP accounts remotely, as well as use it to delete junk mail in case your email client (ie: Outlook) is stuck. For Mail2web make sure you login with your username.youremailaddress (ie: azcuser.info@yourdomain.com), and your email password.

If you're technically inclined, you can even delete the messages through a telnet utility.Telnet is actually one of the most basic Internet applications, for POP account accesses.

To invoke the telnet utility in Microsoft Windows, in general the sequence [Start] -> Programs -> MS-DOS prompt should do. For more recent MS Window releases (e.g. 98, 2000, XP... whatever), you may wish to try the sequence: [Start] -> Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt instead.

Afterwards, please visit http://www.samspade.org/d/tools.html for a detailed step-by-step instruction. If you do not run Windows on your computer (e.g. you use a Mac), please see the same page for more info as well.

In case you have received so many email messages in a POP account that it's impractical or infeasible for you to delete them with the above approach, you can contact AZC Technical Support and ask our system staff for assistance. However, for such special services, there will be a one time charge of USD 25. So, when requesting such assistance, you must write to AZC Technical Support with the following information:

  • your Customer ID
  • your PIN
  • your domain name
  • the username of the POP account in question
  • payment authorization and (optional) payment info.

If your Customer ID and PIN are misplaced somehow, you can retrieve your access codes via email at Requesting forgotton access codes. Once the task is done, we will notify you via email.
