How do I password protect my directories?

Directory Password Protection is a feauture that is available in all our plans, except for the Budget plan. The protection feature allows you to shield parts of your site from the general public. Access is granted only after visitors enter the right username and password.

This feature could be used, for example, by a company that wants to show its retail pricing to the public, but its wholesale pricing only to authorized dealers. The wholesale pricelist could be placed in a protected directory

To create a password protected directory, go to your Account Manager Toolkit™ and select "Set Directory Password Protection."

Note that when you protect a directory, all subdirectories of that directory will be protected as well. So, instead of protecting multiple directories each with their own password, you can as well easily place all these directories under one master directory and protect them all with a single password
