I cannot reach my site. Is the server down?

A simple answer: No. In at least 99.99% of the times that you experience problems reaching your site, the server that hosts your site is not down and is running perfectly. Because we employ the only the highest quality Sun servers and the robust Solaris Unix environment, our servers often run uninterrupted for months at a time.

There are many reasons why at times you may not be able to reach your site. The most common ones are listed here:

• INWW has put your domain on hold.
• There is a communication outage somewhere on the Internet between your PC and our server
• Your site may have been temporarily suspended
• It's a new domain that is just been registered
• You renewed your domain name after its expiry date

To determine which of the above is the case observe whether any of the following occur. Click on the condition that best describes your situation.

• You get an error message that the domain cannot be found or that there is no DNS entry for that domain.
• You get an error message that says that you are not an authorized user.
• You do not get an error message at all. The browser bottom status line says that it is contacting the site, but nothing happens or your page loads very slow and/or only partially. This is caused by a communication outage somewhere on the Internet between your PC and our server

  You may wish to further confirm this possibility by using a third party availability checking site like NetMechanic to see if it can reach your site. If it can, but you can't, then please just wait it out or contact your Internet access provider's Technical Support for assistance.
