I got surcharged this month, why? Can I do
anything about it?
There are only three
ways you could incur a monthly surcharge:
- By going over the
default Disk Space (Web space, email storage, and for
Commerce Plan customers, database disk space
usage).
- By going over the
default Monthly Transfer.
- By going over the
default Email Slots.
The following show you
how to determine which one or ones of the three listed
above are the main causes of your surcharge. There is
also a Case Study that shows you how a site incurred a
surcharge due to excessive use of large graphics files,
and a suggestion about how to avoid such site content
creation/maintenance mistakes.
-
First look up the
defaults of the plan that your Web site is under.
Please visit AZC hosting
plan descriptions.
-
Access your Account
Manager Toolkit (AMT).You can reach it by using
the user login panel on AZC's homepage.
Once you are in the
AMT, click on the link titled "Access Statistics
Reports", and click on the button [View Yearly
Graphs], then review the following
graphs:
- data
transferred
- disk
usage
and see which one is the likely cause.
- While still in you return to
the main menu, and then click on the "Configure
Email Accounts" to see if you've used more email slots than your plan bundles, as
published in 1
